Kids and Company participates in the Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP), in which we receive reimbursement for some of our snack costs. We have to meet certain nutritional and quantity standards, as well as record keeping, sanitation and food storage requirements. We offer items representing a minimum of two food groups. Most snacks include 100% juice or milk. If you have any questions about this program, please contact the Minnesota Food and Nutrition Service at 1-800-366-8922.

October 2017 brought several changes to the program, including removal of "dessert-like" snacks and any grain snacks that are not "Whole Grain Rich", in which the main grain is whole grain, and any additional grains are whole or enriched grains. We are working to find some replacement snacks to ensure that we meet these requirements.
